Pretty to look at, evocative in a muzzy way, it vanishes pleasurably from the memory upon viewing. Go to Full Review

The visual juxtaposition is peacefully apocalyptic, as we ponder where everybody went, and the significance of animals engaging, obliviously, with the machinery mankind created to investigate the unknown. Go to Full Review

Following three donkeys who encounter an abandoned astronomical observatory, it’s a deceptively captivating documentary with no dialogue that still speaks to something breathtaking and true about our place in the universe. Go to Full Review

Three donkeys wander around an astronomical observatory. That’s it. That’s the movie. Feels more like mere footage than a fully realized movie — closer to an experimental film than documentary. Go to Full Review

Vixo S @vixo_six 1d Perfectly a Strangeness is a difficult short to define because its power depends less on narrative than on observation. It does not behave like a conventional documentary. Instead, it creates a quiet visual experience built from composition, stillness and ambiguity. Its cinematography is the strongest element. Each shot feels carefully arranged, inviting contemplation and giving the film a meditative quality. The images are beautiful, but their beauty also becomes the main source of meaning. That is where the limitation appears. The film opens space for interpretation, yet rarely develops beyond its visual presence. It is striking and briefly fascinating, but also slight. What remains is not a clear idea or emotional journey, but the memory of images that are more powerful than the experience around them. I am so grateful to have seen this film. It connected me in a wonderful way to this crazy beautiful world, and galaxy, and the magnificent creatures we share it all with. The juxtaposition of the Donkeys and telescopes was very effective, sort of begging the question "what do the Donkeys think of all this ?". The controversy about wether it's documentary or not is nonsence. Someone yapping in the background would be superfluous here and distract from the lovely beguiling visuals. More of this style please which also has a popular Youtube representation as well. See more Andy H @andyhoy Mar 21 Viewers are immersed in the tranquility of the stark and expansive landscape. They journey into, explore, and discover the unknown, and they generate their own narrative. Its viewers willingly become its participants and co-creators with their endless and imaginative storylines. A beautifully assembled and skillfully crafted film. See more Read all reviews
