Jacob B @JB3.0 Mar 22 Don't think this was bad enough to warrant such a low Tomatometer score but not exactly sure why Roger Ebert liked it. The oddest thing is that this is from the same lady who co-directed Shrek and Shark Tale. Female directors need work, I guess, even if they can't apply their animation experience to certain projects the same way men can like with those two Narnia films. Post Grad is just a harmless comedy that has its issues (they straight-up forget J.K. Simmons after his second scene, out-of-place black comedy concerning a dead cat, awkward romantic subplot handling and I feel disappointed by how our heroine literally never speaks to her younger brother) but has a charming lead actor, some funny moments (credit where it's due, this is the first time I've witnessed an animation director utilising PG-13 F-bomb allowance) and a chill vibe. Cheesy? Maybe. Predictable? Sure. But hardly anything offensive. Probably will appeal the most to Gilmore Girls fans.
