Playing out in real time, SOFT & QUIET is a runaway train that follows a single afternoon in the life of an elementary school teacher, Emily, who organizes an inaugural club meeting of like-minded women. When they all decide to move the meeting to Emily's house to keep the wine flowing, they stop at the local store to pick up refreshments. At the store, an altercation breaks out between a woman from Emily's past and the group, leading to a volatile chain of events.

I could actually feel my stomach churning and see my arms trembling as I held them over my face ... I was anticipating a lot of discomfort and hard-to-watch moments in Soft & Quiet, but this film exceeded even those expectations.

I think this was honestly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in. My life. Acting was terrible. Filming was terrible editing was worse. This should never have been released.

Wow this was a big surprise. This one continuous shot film was a lot of fun. The characters were good and the true Alfa female rose up but the ending left me wanting more. It's clearly leaving room for a sequel possibly or leaves it up to the imagination. Whatever the case it was a crazy good movie. Tim Treakle

I guess the filming style isn’t for everyone, it is hard to get used to but wow, what a story, and the ending? I was hoping for it and there it was. After watching this I have to wonder how many women there are in the USA right now that are just like these women, likely many and it’s a horrifying thought.

What a gem. Movies like FUNNY GAMES or IRREVERSIBEL are- despite their greatness as film-almost unwatchable ... because we do not like to see the horror of reality.

Synopsis
