New York college student Justine (Lorenza Izzo), a lawyer's daughter, meets a student activist named Alejandro (Ariel Levy) when he goes on a hunger strike on behalf of underpaid janitors. Smitten, Justine agrees to help Alejandro undertake his next project: to save the Amazon. She soon learns to regret her decision when their plane crashes in the Peruvian jungle and she and the rest of their group are taken captive by a tribe of hungry cannibals.

The Green Inferno may not win writer-director Eli Roth many new converts, but fans of his flair for gory spectacle should find it a suitably gruesome diversion.

Flat-pack acting, frat-boy screenwriting (the portrayal of activists is spitefully dumb) and retro gore combine with smug throwback neocolonialist racism and unfunny jokes about diarrhoea, dope and Scooby-Doo.

It really seemed like just a chance to show gore but really wasn’t entertaining. It was ridiculous how she covered up for the tribe and disrespected her friends brutal death.It made no sense.

Like so many modern horror films i wasn't sure whether it was more of a comedy. Don't watch whilst eating a red curry like i did. Gory.

Eli Roth's Magnum Opus. One of the goriest big Hollywood movies to date. Suppose you don't want to watch a super gory, bloody movie. I would not recommend this movie. Suppose you want to see Eli Roth excel at what he does best. Then go for it.
