It felt more like a Hallmark movie with a twist of the type of television drama we see today. Honestly, I think this would have worked better as a limited series because there was enough story to build on. The screenplay was pretty decent overall, although there were a few weaker moments that made it harder to stay completely invested. There was also some unnecessary nudity that didn’t really add much to the story. The main character’s voice also sounded much older than the teenage drama the movie was trying to create, which made the character feel less believable at times. The casting itself was fine, and everyone did what they needed to do. Ultimately, The Last Sunrise is an ok film, but it isn’t something I would watch again.
