An old man walks the dusty roads between his isolated farm and the nearby rural village in the company of a silent spirit whose death he witnessed fifty years earlier. For decades, the old man's regret over losing his mother to tuberculosis has bred a pathological need to ease the suffering of the terminally ill, and over the years, he has quietly euthanized several sick women. As he realizes that his spectral companion is able to transport him back in time, the old man trespasses into his own past to set in motion a plan to convince his younger self to preempt his mother's terminal suffering.

The juxtaposition of the banal and the supernatural may draw comparisons with the work of Apichatpong Weerasethakul, but perhaps a better reference would be the heady oddness of Mati Diop’s Atlantics.

Do was marked as a filmmaker to watch. Her third effort shows maturation and improvement that supports that claim. Her unique voice and heady themes won't appeal to everyone, however.

Gold Medal goes to The Long Walk, Having read the Story half alife time ago, I got the rare pleasure of emersing myself in this Horrific, Beautiful Film.

I found it to be soulful and riveting. I know it's in the horror genre because the premise of the move is horrifying. Yes it is violent however, it just wouldn't work if it wasn't. The acting is impressive and sucked me right in. I won't forget this movie. Steven King has a heart. For me it was a really good movie. I am glad I saw it.

Book was great. Not a fan of the movie. Too extreme violence…we know characters are shot but c’mon… Characters not well developed…could have used more flashbacks to become invested or understand backgrounds better. I felt traumatized and hid my eyes constantly to avoid extreme violent images. Also HORRIFIED to see a young child walking out with their so called “parent figure”! What’s wrong with people. Terrible movie-terrible adaptation. Sorry I went.

Not a huge fan of foreign subtitles but gave it a shot nevertheless. The sub titles were up and down so fast at times and I could not always finish and I'm not a slow reader. It took a while for me to understand basic plot/storyline and even then it was hard to follow at times. At near 2 hours, I felt the movie was too long. It could go either way: it is not a must watch but I would not watch again and would not recommend.
