I'm very mixed about the film, but I find it watchable. I like the cast of Robin Williams, Joan Cusack, Michael Gambon and LLCoolJ and the music is really cool for the 1990s, but the story was lackluster and the final battle was weak.

Ignore the negative reviews. This is an amazing movie, doubly-so as its fantastical world is believably realized pre-CGI. It's wondrous to behold, loaded with fun details, and stands up to rewatching again and again.
