Conocemos a Liane, una adolescente francesa que expresa su libertad a través de su cuerpo y al mismo tiempo a través de su inocencia, ella busca ser famosa, destacar entre los demás y no tiene miedo de alcanzar este sueño, que además de ayudarla a llegar a su meta, también la ayudará a salir de su casa y a separarse de su madre que no tiene interés alguno en cuidar a sus hijas. A lo largo de la historia nos vamos adentrando más en la parte intima de su vida, descubrimos que también es sensible, con miedo al futuro y su enojo es esto reflejado. Diamante Salvaje (Diamant brut) es la ópera prima de Agathe Riedinger, estrenada en Cannes en su edición del 2024, nos presenta una historia sincera, contada con sensibilidad femenina, sin caer en el morbo, remontándonos a los inicios de Céline Sciamma en el cine gracias a los recursos utilizados y la manera de retratarnos la crudeza de Francia sin miedo. A pesar de ser una de las mejores óperas primas que he visto últimamente, considero que el último acto termina cayendo, a un nivel narrativo, al no darle seguimiento ni conclusión al arco de personajes presentados y que parecen ser importantes en la vida de Liane, nuestra protagonista. Sin pretensiones, logramos querer a un personaje imperfecto, estos errores son los que lo hace atractivo para el espectador y empatizar con ella. A través del realismo que se ha establecido como tendencia entre los franceses en estos últimos años, hemos conocido su día a día y sus problemas, logrando que el cine siga siendo sinónimo de rebeldía, empatía y no solo algo bonito para ver.
