During a wild vacation in Las Vegas, career woman Joy McNally (Cameron Diaz) and playboy Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher) come to the sober realization that they have married each other after a night of drunken abandon. Besides that, there is a huge jackpot at stake. An implacable judge freezes the prize money and refuses to grant an annulment, so Joy and Jack must try to make their impromptu marriage work.

"What Happens in Vegas" promises to be funny and fun, yet it ends up being strangely safe and boring. The two leads are sort of charming, but they have also the energy of coworkers stuck in an elevator. A few jokes might land, but most of the writing sucks. It's watchable, if there's no other option available, and once in a while it is even mildly amusing… but is mostly instantly forgettable. I definitely do not recommend.

This movie is a riot and all the critics who hated on it are cucks lmfaoo I’m working thru my relationship rn and I couldn’t stop laughing we loved this movie and I hope Kutch n Diaz can get some more laughs going some day cuz this is a classic

This is my favorite movie in the rom com genre, i know each one has different opinions but WHIV, soundtracks were good, ashton & diaz done amazing, joy character is full of light positive .the way she is on carry herself is my fav. This my go to movie to make me feel like myself again.

It has the potential for a clever idea with the money and all like a Billy Wilder type comedy but it falls victim to unfunny gags and when it does try to be serious it just becomes cliche and does all the tropes you'd expect. The editing and pacing aren't good. The opening just bounces aorund very sloppy between the two and once they get married stuff just happens and 90% is flat or unfunny. Than once it starts being serious and actual development happens it's just standard stuff, very predictable, and nothing done particulary good. The second half is strongerbut only because it gets more focused and the bar is pretty low. Everything else is ok at best. The two leads got some decent chemistry but are weighed down by the unfunny material and basic direction. It's a pretty typical 00's romcom for better or for worse. Diaz is defintely the stronger of the two for sure. Ferina's not bad and probably the best thing acting wise for what it's worth. But still skip it.
