For large portions of the runtime, Dr. Cheon clings to the new IP-driven Hollywood commercial look that has become more prevalent in Korean cinema over the last decade: uninspired color grading, untextured digital environments, limited contrast.

It was GREAT! I was browsing Viki and found it. The cast was really good - some actors I've seen in other shows and a couple of new ones. Not so gory I didn't have to fast forward, and the story was compelling enough that I wanted to keep watching! I especially liked the special effects. I'm just sorry it was so short!

What a surprise! It's a perfectly light action/suspense/semi-horror movie that has a sense of humor and drama. Many parts of it are nicely filmed (example: scene with the Maiden, who possesses the body of a shaman). The acting is very sound, and you will like each of the main characters pretty quickly. This was not one of those oppressive, dark horror movies. It had some dark elements, but the friendship of the main characters, the bits of humor, and the interesting story make the film well-worth seeing in the theater.
