Lynn S @RT68403771 10/08/2024 Nancy Pelosi is tough as nails and a brilliant politician. She fights for women, children, and everyone else - including Mike Pence. The scenes of her, with the other congressional leaders strategizing in the bunker while the Capital is being attacked is incredible footage, shot by her film-maker daughter who had extraordinary access. These scenes alone are worth the price of the ticket. You should watch this movie. See more W.C. See more William K @Koolbill 09/05/2023 I don't understand the low audience ratings?? We thought this was one of the finest documentaries we'd ever seen. It gave an unvarnished and totally honest picture into one of the most powerful and influential women in history. She is shown with all of her flaws and foibles, but also with her genius for making things happen and getting things done. She was able to stand up to the "Old Boys Network" and, for the most part, prevail, carrying herself with confidence and assurance. Terrific film. This is a fascinating look at how the House of Reps in the US works and what the Speaker or the House does. It's at least great as a civics lesson regardless of your political leanings. It's also quite cringy to see Americans being convinced by the pharmaceutical industry into protesting healthcare reform only for the same people to be protesting 20 years later against vaccines and that very pharmaceutical industry. I loved the opening where she's followed through the halls with her fast pace. the doc showed her in personal moments with family and staff. it showed her tenacity in the face of dealing with all these men. I just wish it was longer and showed more of each time period. I walked away thinking about what an amazing woman Nancy Pelosi is. As a woman with two daughters, we're lucky to have had her forging a new path so confidently. It was a pleasure to watch her in action in one sitting. See more Read all reviews
