Although Scarlet is undeniably gorgeous, its story starts to lose its vitality as it pushes toward the climax, twisting itself into an almost impressive, romantically stale knot just to deliver an obvious message in the most roundabout way possible.

The animation was very good. The story was interesting, though I think some things could have been explored more and some things more tightly woven into the story. Like the previous movie, Belle, the music was also very good.
