A century before the events of "Game of Thrones," two unlikely heroes wander Westeros. In an adaption of George R. R. Martin's novella "The Hedge Knight," a young and naive but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg, face a series of dangerous exploits. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and images of the last dragon have not yet passed from living memory, great destinies and powerful foes await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Just finished the last episode - they stuck the landing. A love ly, interesting, fun expansion of the ASOIAF universe. You root for the characters, and the performances are fantastic. Highly highly recommend.

In a universe that's always been about politics, dragons and kings, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms manages to succeed by scaling all the way down. Focus on Peter Claffey's Ser Duncan and allowing us to take in the familiar world of Westeros from an average hedge knights perspective. Despite a shorter season and episodes this series was such a delight, so well-paced, and with moments that hit just as hard as anything in the Game of Thrones universe. Similar to the original Tales of Dunk and Egg, the series gives us these brand new characters to fall in love with and follow in a universe where lovable characters are few and far between.

Starts a little slow, but most first episodes do. Very entertaining. The episodes are short though. It makes me wonder if they just cut up a movie into episodes that was meant to be at the theaters.
