Vaazha 2 grows beyond the shadow of its predecessor by refining its tone, strengthening its themes, and delivering more assured emotional beats and performances. Do not miss this, especially if you are one among those 'billion' bros! Go to Full Review

Vaazha 2 improves upon the flawed original, managing to pack in a lot that a young crowd can identify with. Go to Full Review

Of course, it’s careful enough not to make drug use sound like a joke but it’s just as careful to ensure the message reaches the ears it is meant to. Go to Full Review

Unlike Vaazha, the second installment has its heart more or less in the right place. However, that doesn’t mean Vipin Das’ writing is extraordinary. In fact, despite having far better material, the writer has failed to flesh it out adequately. Go to Full Review

sneha A @RT31265793 1d Absolutely disappointing film. I genuinely don’t understand the hype surrounding it really makes me question the standards audiences have for movies these days. The movie also feels unnecessarily dragged. By the end of the first half, I already felt like leaving the theatre. Unfortunately, the second half only gets worse, turning into a mix of cringe and over-the-top melodrama that’s difficult to sit through. Another major issue is the excessive use of background music. It appears almost every few minutes, making the film feel more like a musical drama than a proper narrative. Some scenes feel completely unnecessary and out of place. The circumcision scene involving an 18-year-old is confusing and adds no real value. There’s also a recurring character in the "UK" portions of the film who seems important at first, but ends up having no clear connection or explanation, making their presence feel pointless. See more av 8 @RT99530239 5d Vaazha II is an absolute cinematic marvel in all senses of the word. The casting, the acting, the plot, the direction, the cinematography and especially and most importantly the music—chef's kiss. Hashir, Alan and Ajin completely engulf us with their characters and soon we find ourselves weeping for them. The friendships and brotherhood portrayed are raw, palpable and gut-wrenching. Every single person who came on the screen did not leave without an impact. Although there are certain far-fetched aspects and small loopholes (Alan, stop being too much of a brothercool and get him those medicines!!), those can be overlooked for the sake of the beauty of the rest of the movie. The tracks and lyrics woven in have majestically crafted a masterpiece before the audience. The shots and transitions are works of sorcery and eyegasmic. These are the sort of characters one would always root for. See more arvind S @Arvind100 Apr 4 All four leads, who go by their real names - Hashir, Alan bin Siraj, Ajin and Vinayak are brilliant in this. I particularly loved Vinayak's character because I could relate more to him. Everyone will find something/someone that they relate to as well - may it be the sibling bonds or the father-son relationships. Vaazha 2 has it all and that interplay between the Koodappirannor and Makane is just GOLD. Another character that stood out was Bijukuttan's. This may very well be my favourite performance of his. I also loved how smart the makers were with placement of the cast from the original. Though Vaazha 2 starts out like the original with a group of wayward teens, the setbacks they face and such; the sequel also focuses on other issues like drug use, the attitude of school teachers and the importance of valuing your sibling. I love the fact that though both Vaazha movies are sort of similar, they manage to stay unique by focusing on other problems teens face. See more Read all reviews
