Even when it’s not being sweet, or when Nicky and Morgan are sincerely terrified about what’s happening to them... [the] trappings around them are so heightened and silly that Big Mistakes can’t help but come across as mostly a fun time. Go to Full Review

Mistakes gets constant laughs out of the foibles and fumbles of this endearing cast of imperfect characters whose irresponsible behavior leads to an escalation of problems. A big plus is that Levy and Sennott infuse the comedy with enough bite and edge... Go to Full Review

You might think the minds behind Schitt’s Creek and Bottoms would make for strange bedfellows, but Levy and Sennott’s sensibilities combine for a compelling blend of dark family comedy, crime caper, and character study. Go to Full Review

Big Mistakes is a strong choice for Levy to show he’s more than David Rose from Schitt’s Creek and has other stories to tell. Go to Full Review

A Levy freakout is a thing to behold, but in the midst of an episode that feels devoid of any kind of narrative momentum, it is wasted. Go to Full Review

Part family sitcom, part crime caper, this series feels like a breath of fresh air. In a world where most comedies come with morality tales and as much tragedy as a drama, society needs something as silly as this. Go to Full Review

C D @jaded_movie_fan 3h I watched the first episode. It felt a bit flat and under-baked. The humor didn't connect - the bits didn't blend or work together. They guy who played the criminal stood out from the rest. Why wouldn't the siblings disclose the location of the necklace in the last scene- it just didn't make sense? And why a necklace? I would have chosen something the grandmother took inadvertently as the device to connect the siblings to the mob. Perhaps the necklace was chosen to imbue the plot with a sense of wackiness but to me it just came across as silly. Since the episodes are short, I'll continue but if it doesn't pick up, I'll bail. See more Jonathan M @Jonathan555 4h I liked Schitt's Creek, but this is awful. Not funny, too frenetic and there was no reason to make the main character a minister other than mockery. See more Cameron C. @DaBlackCrunch 6h Fun. Entertaining. Goofy watch. Great twist. The chaos of the family gives the show a definite edge. Dan Levy is excellent as expected. Couldn’t tell if it was Taylor’s character or her lack luster acting ability that was more annoying but Levy carried the relationship. See more Linda G @Goldy78 9h Very entertaining. Laurie Metcalf at her best. There is something about Dan Levy being Dan Levy that is amazingly funny. See more Pamela H @Pamiejo 10h I expected to like this show since I love Dan Levy, but I never expected it to be so spectacularly hilarious. It’s so clever and smart. It’s Schitt’s Creek meets Breaking Bad. All of the characters are fantastic. See more Kim D. @Kdibuono 14h Absolutely loved Big Mistakes! From start to finish, it’s laugh-out-loud funny with sharp writing and perfectly timed humor. The cast has incredible chemistry, and every episode delivers moments that feel both relatable and ridiculously entertaining. It balances comedy with just enough heart to keep you invested, making it way more than just a typical comedy. Definitely one of those shows you can’t stop watching once you start—highly recommend!
