Thirteen-year-old Ethan is supposed to be preparing for his bar mitzvah -- but despite his Jewish family, Ethan is convinced his spiritual calling is with the Catholic church, where he secretly finds solace under the guidance of Father Diaz (Carlos Ponce). Through the wisdom of an unconventional rabbi (Rachelle Lefevre), the love of his complicated father (Joshua Malina), and his first romance with a cowboy-boot-wearing girl who can put him in a headlock, Ethan must confront his lies and grief to discover that faith isn't about choosing sides--it's about honoring all the messy, beautiful pieces of who we are.

See more Diana D Mar 22 The movie was super cute reminds me of are you there God it’s me Margaret. But different. Not that many people in the theater they did such a hype on. Facebook and Instagram, which is how I found it. Also, the actors and directors didn’t show for the after discussion See more susana Mar 21 Incredible movie ! I cried , i laughed , i reminisced ! See more Michelle C @mcardel01 6d This is the kind of coming of age film you stumble on and immediately want to recommend to everyone. It’s heartfelt, funny, and emotionally honest in a way that sticks with you. The movie follows its young lead through the messy, beautiful chaos of growing up. It balances humor and heartbreak so well: one moment you’re laughing at sharp, witty dialogue, the next you’re blindsided by a small, tender scene. The performances are natural across the board, especially from the lead, who nails the mix of awkwardness, vulnerability, and charm seen in 13 yo kids. Every relationship feels authentic, never reduced to stereotypes. The direction is subtle but confident, capturing those in-between moments of adolescence, and the soundtrack perfectly underscores the emotional beats. "Ethan Bloom" will make you laugh, cry, and feel all the things - nostalgia, empathy, and a genuine sense of hope. A warm, moving film that absolutely deserves to be seen and shared. Absolutely loved it! See more MICHAEL W @RT88158329 Apr 5 Heartfelt and Amazing... See more Read all reviews
